I’ve become obsessed with this K-rock band called 마리 서사 (Mary Story).  The lead singers voice is sooooooooooooo mmm.   My fav song of theirs is 마리아 (Maria), but sadly it’s not on youtube for me to share with my (non)readers.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Seriously, what have I been doing with myself the past 2 months?!  Now that I’m working again it’ll be even harder for me to catch up on all the latest news.  Thank gawd for Entertainment Weekly on KBS World.  I love these 2.  I think that she’s a brilliant actress.  I can’t lie, I did once-upon-a-time fantasize about marrying Tablo myself (lol).  They’re quite cute together though.  I’ve read that their nickname for each other is ‘Mine’ which just makes me LAWL.  I wish them allllllllllll the happiness in the future.  축하해요!

I really don’t know what the hell I’ve been doing while I’ve been unemployed.  I certainly have not been paying much attention to the Kpop world.  I found out a week after it happened that Jaebum has left 2PM and is now back in the USA.  I actually feel pretty disgusted over the whole matter.  Apparently 4 years ago, when Jay was a teenager, he posted on his friends Myspace, saying how he wasn’t really that happy in Korea and that he wasn’t fitting in.  He also said he wasn’t sure if he should go back home and be with people that care about him.  I personally don’t see anything wrong in what he said.  He grew up in the USA, he hadn’t been in Korea for very long and was having trouble adjusting to life there.  Nobody should blame him for that.  Some netizens/anti-fans I guess did blame him for it and even started a suicide petition.  How dare they take such a serious topic so damn lighty and use it against him, ESPECIALLY with all of the suicides that have been in the media.  I really don’t blame Jay for wanting to go back home, nobody needs that kind of pressure.  Good luck Jay, in whatever you end up doing with yourself.

Okay, so I guess I didn’t see everything that Jay had posted on his friends myspace.  The pictures I saw had some comments that were blanked out.  So, he did say some pretty extreme things, but again, he was young and dealing with culture shock and pressure he’d probably never experienced before.  I still don’t blame him for thinking such things, and a lot of people don’t really think about the consequences of speaking our mind, especially at a young age.  It’s too bad it had to turn out this way, that forgiveness can’t happen for him.

Finally, finally, I am feeling stress free.  Actually, through most of my unemployment I wasn’t stressed at all, not until the money started to wear thin.  The past 2 weeks though, I was ridiculously stressed.  I couldn’t take my mind off of money, how I was going to pay my rent, my bills.  I knew I was going to have to ask my parents, grandparents, etc, to borrow some money, but I didn’t want to.  I hate asking for money. 

I received a call on Monday from Goemans Appliances for an interview.  I called them back on Tuesday and set up an interview on Wednesday.  The interview on Wednesday was quite quick, less than 10 mins.  She asked me a few questions and gave me the basics about the position.  On Thursday I was asked to come back in Today to meet with the Manager as they were trying to narrow down the list.  I went in today, had about a 15 minute interview with the Manager.  They said they would call me by Monday and let me know of their decision.  Not even 15 minutes after I left the interview did they call me and offer me the position.  It’s a part time position as a receptionist.  Someone is going on Maternity Leave soon-ish, so I may be considered to fill her full time job… *crosses fingers.*  I start on Monday.

About 5 minutes after I left the interview I received a call from my Dad.  He was calling to just check up on me and to tell me he had to cancel plans to meet the new wifey [oh that's another story needing to be told] this week.  He told me to check my email when I got home and left it at that.  I check my email and my wonderful Father sent me some money, calling it a ‘belated birthday present,’ but I know he’s just worried, figured money was running low, and wanted ot make sure my rent and other bills would get paid.  Thanks Dad!   When I deposited the money I checked my account and saw 3 other deposits in there as well:  one deposit from EI [fa-reakin finally], one from my grandmother to pay for the Smart Serve course [plus a little extra], and a third deposit from an unknown source.   Whoever you are, thank you, and thank you Nana!

Rent will be paid and I can catch up on a few bills!  While I am part time at Goemans I’ll be working mostly evenings and weekends, so I’m going to see if I can find myself a serving job at a restaurant for only the lunch hour and maybe random nights I’m not working at Goemans.  I’ve been sitting on my ass, pretty much doing nothing for 2 months straight, so it’s gonna be hard to get back into it.  I’m so happy I didn’t have to settle, and that it’s NOT sales and NOT a call centre.  Never again, my friends, will I work in a call centre.  Never!

I just initiated a breakup. I’ve broken up with guys before, but this is the first time doing it that I actually felt nervous and bad about it. Past ones were usually me screaming at them to never talk to me ever again.

I am kind of glad at how it went though. We weren’t really compatible. We just had different ways going about being in a relationship and it didn’t work well together. Last week he was telling me how much he missed me and how much he wanted to come back to Canada to be with me. However, during the break up he didn’t really ask any questions or even try to convince me not to break up. He just accepted it. I figure that kind of contradicts what he was saying last week, so that just further proved our incompatibility.

Actually, I’m a little annoyed at his passive behaviour, but what can you do. This is what I wanted.

It kinda weirds me out while watching Sketchbook.

Today was my last day at TD.  I am officially unemployed.  I should be freaked the hell out, but I am feeling quite content.  I’ve got enough cash to live very comfortably till the beginning of September.  I’ve applied to a number of jobs, and some recently that I’m quite qualified for, so hopefully I get a call for an interview soon.

To celebrate my release from ever having to sell credit card insurance again, I have a date with a bottle of Jackson Triggs Cabernet-Merlot and the So You Think You Can Dance results from last nights show, woot.

Seems I shall remain employed at TD until at least July 18th.  I am looking for a new job though.  To be honest, I just can’t work here anymore.  This job has taken its toll on me. 

I want to work at a new job until January-ish and attempt to find job teaching english overseas -preferably in Korea – and return to Canada to finish school either September 2010 or 2011.  I am not decided if I want to finish this program or take something at Medix [Developmental Service Worker?].  I like the idea of working with people instead of behind a computer.

I am much less stressed and feeling much more positive about my future.  I’ve just got to remember that though one plan may not work out, I still have many other choices and cannot give up.
